The Orioles announced both via press release on Tuesday, and there are several names to keep an eye on during the month-long league.

If you are not familiar with what the Instructional League is, it's a program that focuses on specific individual development while providing additional playing time to accelerate a player's progress through the minor league system.

In essence, for the most part, you are going to see guys very early in their careers in the Instructional League and it provides them some more game action, as well as access to some of the organizations best instructors.

Below is the roster as stated and provided by the Orioles in the press release:

One of the best parts about the Instructional League in terms of the fans, is that the Orioles play their games on the main field at Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota, and games are free to the public. In addition, free parking for the games is also available in the East Lot.

The players are reporting to Sarasota today, and their first game will be on Monday, September 19 against Tampa Bay at Ed Smith Stadium. The season goes from September 19 through October 11. To view the full schedule, click here.

Several of this year's draft picks will be in Sarasota along with some of their more well known International free agent signings of the past year or so in Australian left-handed pitcher Alex Wells and Chinese first baseman Guiyuan (Itchy) Xu.

Baby Birdland will keep you posted on any news and happenings coming out of the Instructional League this fall.
