This news joins the recent announcement that the Shorebirds swept the monthly Orioles' Minor League Player and Pitcher of the month awards with Randolph Gassaway and Brian Gonzalez bringing home the honors.

Mullins, 21, was the Orioles' 13th round selection in the 2015 MLB Draft out of Campbell and he had a terrific final week of the season for the Shorebirds.

The outfielder hit a robust .433 over seven games during the week with three home runs, three doubles, seven RBI, seven runs scored and even threw in three stolen bases as well.

Perhaps even more impressive is the fact that Mullins struck out just once all week.

With Mullins getting the nod this week, that makes it seven times a Shorebirds player was named the SAL Player of the Week this year. Mullins joins Ryan Mountcastle, Cristian Alvarado, Randolph Gassaway, Ofelky Peralta and Yermin Mercedes (twice).

Mullins finished the season hitting .273 with 14 home runs, 37 doubles, 10 triples, 55 RBI and scored 79 runs. He also stole 30 bases, while only being caught six times.

He lead the South Atlantic League in triples (10) and was ninth in stolen bases (30).

Congratulations to Cedric on earning his first career Player of the Week honor!
