The Baltimore Orioles' Low-A affiliate, the Delmarva Shorebirds, have had quite an offseason in terms of movement inside of Arthur W. Perdue Stadium.

Once the 2016 season was complete, the Shorebirds began preparations for new seats to be installed in the entire stadium.

First up, was obviously removing all of the old seats, which the Shorebirds began immediately after the season was over.
On Wednesday, thanks to Irwin Seating Company, the new seats arrived and installation began throughout the stadium.
The seat renovation project is just part of a two-year plan of stadium improvements for Arthur W. Perdue Stadium.

When the Shorebirds and Wicomico County agreed on a new lease agreement, a large number of improvements to the stadium was planned for 2016 and 2017.

What else is coming?

One of the more exciting things was revealed at the Shorebirds' Hot Stove Banquet last month when they unveiled the design/look of the new video scoreboard that is coming to Perdue Stadium.

It's great to see the stadium getting some upgrade, and I know I have done so before, but if you and your family vacation in Ocean City, MD, I encourage you to make the short drive to check out the Shorebirds.

  1. A visit there is certainly planned for me and the family during our vacation! The park looks like it will be really nice with the upgrades.
