The Shorebirds made the announcement via press release Wednesday.

The exhibition game will be a seven-inning contest and will take place at the Shorebirds' home, Arthur W. Perdue Stadium on Tuesday, April 4 at 6:05 p.m.

"We look forward to another great start to the 2017 season. The exhibition game with Salisbury University will be a great experience for the players, staff, and fans," said Chris Bitters, Shorebirds General Manager in the press release.
Salisbury University is a NCAA Division III university in Salisbury, Maryland and play in the Capital Athletic Conference. Take it from me, the school is well known for success in sports and as the Shorebirds' pointed out in the press release, the University owns 21 Championships in team sports.

If you are in the area for this exhibition game, you won't have to spend a ton of money to enjoy it.

The Shorebirds stated in the press release that Upper Reserved tickets can be purchased for the exhibition game against Salisbury University for $3 online at www.theshorebirds.com/tickets, beginning on March 20th. Upper Reserved tickets will also be available at the Shorebirds Box Office and will be sold for $5.

This is the second O's affiliate to announce an exhibition game against a local college team as the AAA Norfolk Tides will host Norfolk State University on April 4 at Harbor Park.

I absolutely love that some of the affiliates are playing local college teams because of what it does for the community, and the thrill it provides for the players on the college teams.

In addition, I have a special admiration for the Shorebirds' announced game against Salisbury because I played Division III baseball in College and played against Salisbury. I know how much an experience like this would have meant to me as a player, so I know the Sea Gulls' players are thrilled and greatly looking forward to playing this exhibition game.
