The Frederick Keys (Class_A High) were scheduled to play their home opener against the Carolina Mudcats (Brewers) tonight at Nymeo Field at Harry Grove Stadium.  Today’s rain put too much water in the Nymeo Field outfield and has caused the postponement of tonight’s game.

The game will be played at 1pm on April 29th as part of a doubleheader; each game will be a 7-inning contest.  Tonight’s mystery ball promotion has been reschedule for April 21st.  That night has now been dubbed “mystery night”; the first 500 fans through the gates will receive a mystery bobble-head and all fans can purchase a mystery box containing an autographed baseball.

Keegan Akin (0-1, 1.04 ERA, 0.85 WHIP at Aberdeen) was scheduled to make his Class-A High debut tonight.  His first start has been rescheduled for tomorrow night.  BabyBirdland was set to shine a spotlight on the Orioles’ 2016 number 2 draft pick tonight but will instead let you know how tomorrow night’s start goes.

Stay tuned to BabyBirdland for articles detailing the starts of Cody Sedlock and Lucas Humpal.
